It's a bit of an homage to the gory pugilist. It's referred to as a “Meat” mod, because in some of the earlier Mortal Kombat titles there was a bloody, skinless fighter on the roster named Meat. Goat Simulator from Coffee Stain Studios is already a creepy game.
